Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its own result. Webster Parish Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms as its own record.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to the resource may be retained to answer the message. It is kept within the organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation. Official court-record requests should be directed to the relevant court or the Webster Parish Clerk of Court, rather than sent as a message to this private resource.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page is loaded, routine technical information about the visit can be collected by the hosting and analytics systems:
- The IP address associated with the device
- The browser type and version in use
- The device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on each page
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Dates and times associated with page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser that can help show how visitors use the resource. Analytics may aggregate traffic patterns, including frequently viewed pages and exit points. Browser settings can block cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate, maintain, and improve page performance
- Route a submitted search to the applicable partner service
- Understand aggregate use of the resource
- Investigate and address technical problems
- Display advertising that may be interest-based
No Court-Record Data on File
Webster Parish Court Docket does not host, assemble, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. It provides general routing information for the 26th Judicial District Court, the Webster Parish Clerk of Court, ClerkNet, and other official custodians. Louisiana R.S. 44:1 broadly defines public records, while Code of Civil Procedure art. 251 identifies the clerk as the legal custodian and governs ordinary inspection and copying.
For qualifying criminal cases filed from 2020 forward, R.S. 13:5992 addresses electronic access to minute entries or summaries through LCRAA, with limits. Children's Code art. 412 protects juvenile records, and Act 352 of 2025 brought 2026 filing changes that limit inclusion of specified sensitive identifiers. These court-access rules do not turn visitor information into a consumer report, and this private resource is not a consumer reporting agency.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes are supplied by outside companies. Information entered into those tools is governed by the partner's own privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices. Webster Parish Court Docket does not control those practices, so a visitor should review the provider's policy before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to Clerk, court, LCRAA, eClerksLA, legal-aid, or third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this resource, the other operator's privacy policy applies. Review that policy before providing personal information to the linked service.
Advertising partners may collect activity across websites in order to present targeted advertising. That activity is performed on their systems rather than on the systems operated for this resource.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited information can be disclosed to the following categories when applicable:
- Search partners processing a query entered through their tool
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks displaying material on the resource
- Government or law-enforcement entities acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for the data collected by this resource. Internet-connected systems cannot be made completely risk-free, however, and no security practice can promise that an unauthorized access event will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a minor's personal information is believed to have been submitted, the matter can be raised through the contact route so the information can be removed where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy or consumer-protection law may provide additional rights concerning personal information. At a minimum, a visitor may ask for a copy of information held about that visitor, request correction of inaccurate information, ask for deletion of information, or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that option. Louisiana court-record access rules, including R.S. 44:1, art. 251, R.S. 13:5992, and art. 412, govern court records held by their official custodians rather than a private visitor-data request.
- Request a copy of information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request erasure of information where applicable
- Opt out of certain data processing where applicable
